Wi-Fi on the Road

internet access at campgrounds and parks across nationNo matter where you go, most of us just can’t do without the internet for too long.

If you’re a full-time Airstreamer then you need to have access to the internet on a regular basis, especially for working, paying the bills or just keeping in touch with others while on the road.   Unfortunately, some campgrounds just don’t have good Wi-Fi, with either inconsistent signals or unusably slow connections.

Some parks with Wi-Fi have usage that is dependent on other users in the park.  While most travelers have to be prepared for this and rely on their own internet connections through satellite dishes or cellular data cards, a lot of times there are usage limits.

A park or campground with reliable internet service is a real find and Chris Guld at RV.Net has helped us find them by compiling a list of the best places with good Wi-Fi.

Great to know this about Iowa City. I was writing about Iowa today for my work and I was trying to find ways to promote the state -- I think it must be a great state for bicycling.
