Replacing Vista View Windows
October 5, 2009
If you have an older Airstream with the double-paned vista view windows then you may have experienced a problem with the film inside of the window breaking down, causing it to get trapped between the window panes. The original double pane windows were installed to help reduce heat coming into the trailer, as well as reducing IR and UV radiation. Like just about everything, over time the film inside of the pane breaks down and gets trapped in between the window panes. BH Powell at Airstream Central takes us through a step-by-step process to remove and replace the inner acrylic pane window. Check out his easy instructions, complete with before and after pictures.
