Bike-Taxi on Campus

thomas mahoney has bike-taxi service at Oklahoma University

Thomas Mahoney is a senior at Oklahoma State University and makes his living peddling his way around the area of Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Thomas has been a bicycle-enthusiast since he was young and even worked as a bike mechanic by the time he was 14.  Together with his older brother, Thomas started a bicycle taxi service using his bicycle and a homemade cart equipped to carry up to three grown adults and two small children, or a max of 750 pounds.

He started by providing rides to and from the college games and parking lots, and occasionally offers free rides to friends and students.  While this definitely is his business, Thomas doesn’t have a set charge but works for tips.
