National Parks Family Expo in Arizona

The National Parks Family Expo will be held on August 29 at the University of Arizona mall. Chairmen of the U.S. House and Senate subcommittees on national parks will be present to discuss the national park system. They will also have displays from all of Arizona’s national parks and monuments, along with activities including adobe brick making, gourd painting, critter tracking and telescope building. Later in the afternoon, participants will be able to preview a new PBS documentary and a locally produced program about national parks. A panel discussion will conclude the expo.
