Fishing Derby for Kids

The American Legion in Pocatello, Idaho, sponsored a fishing derby for kids ages 15 and under on Saturday.  The Michael Schow Memorial Fishing Derby is an annual event where the sole purpose is to have fun.  While all of the kids try to catch the biggest fish (the fishing hole is well stocked so that everyone has a chance to catch a fish), even the smallest catch is celebrated with prizes and trophies.  The American Legion also collects donated fishing poles to be used at this event.
