Bike Essay Contest

MetLife Insurance Company, in conjunction with BikeTown USA, is holding a contest in Ridgeland, Mississippi, and giving away 30 free bikes.  Participants must write an essay explaining how your life would be improved with owning a bike and submit it to BikeTown USA by September 7.  The top 30 essay writers from each city will receive a free Jamis Commuter 1 or Citizen 1 bike, as well as a Lazer helmet and an OnGuard lock.  The contest is designed to promote healthy living and positive ways to relieve stress and have fun.  Check  out the website for entry requirements.

    Great to know this about Iowa City. I was writing about Iowa today for my work and I was trying to find ways to promote the state -- I think it must be a great state for bicycling.
